CommitU is built on honesty, so this policy is written the same way: no vague language, no hidden data-sharing you'd need a lawyer to find. This page describes exactly what the app collects, why, and how you can delete all of it whenever you want.
We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. The only outside service involved in storing your information is a database provider (Supabase) that exists purely to back up your progress so you don't lose it if you get a new phone.
When you set up CommitU, you may provide:
As you use the app, we also record your check-in history — which meals were logged, when, and whether they matched your plan, were logged as off-plan, or were missed entirely. This history is what your streak and progress are built from.
CommitU's camera check-in captures a photo so you have a real, honest moment to answer to — but that photo is stored only in the app's local storage on your own device. It is never uploaded to our servers, never included in your cloud backup, and never seen by us. If you delete the app, those photos are gone with it, the same as any other photo app data on your phone.
Your information is used only to run the app itself: scheduling your meal alarms, calculating your streak and level, showing your why back to you at the right moment, and — if you choose to back up your account — restoring your progress if you reinstall the app or switch to a new phone.
We don't use your data to build an advertising profile, and we don't share it with data brokers or third-party marketers.
Your meal plan, check-in history, and profile answers (not photos) are automatically backed up to a cloud database operated by Supabase, a database infrastructure provider. This happens quietly in the background so your progress is protected even if something happens to your phone — no sign-in required for this backup to work.
This backup is linked to a random, anonymous identifier generated on your device — not your name, not a hardware identifier tied to your phone, not an advertising ID.
Sign in with Apple is entirely optional. It exists for one purpose: if you get a new phone or reinstall CommitU, signing in lets us find your existing backup and restore it. If you never sign in, your data still backs up automatically under your device's anonymous identifier — you just wouldn't be able to pull it onto a different device later.
CommitU subscriptions are billed and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see, receive, or store your card number, billing address, or other payment details — that information stays with Apple, governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Go to Settings → Delete Account & Data inside the app at any time. This permanently removes your meal plan, check-in history, and profile — both on your device and from our backup — and cannot be undone. There's no "soft delete" and no retained copy afterward.
CommitU is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use CommitU after a change means you've accepted the update.
